Uniform Policy

CLOTHING

Children should be dressed casually and comfortable, and not in their best clothing in case of spillages etc. that could ruin their clothes.  Ideally you should avoid dressing your child in dungarees, belts or braces as these can be difficult for your child when they are going to the toilet.

Uniforms are ideal for the child as you do not have to worry about stains and paint, that is what uniforms are for.  PLEASE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR CHILD GETTING THEIR UNIFORM DIRTY….THAT IS WHAT IT IS FOR. 

Uniforms are available throughout the year and can be purchased from the playgroup.  This consists of a yellow polo shirt and a blue jumper.

Accidents

All children will, from time to time, have accidents in the setting due to the child being engrossed in an activity.  In the event of accidents happening it would be appreciated if a change of clothing could be brought into the playgroup on the day that your child commences the playgroup and placed in an individual bag labelled with your child’s name.  Your child will have an individual peg in the entrance area where this change can be placed.  Please label all clothing.  Spare clothing should consist of:

• Underwear
• Trousers/skirt
• Socks/tights
• Top/jumper

If you child does have an accident the clothes will be placed on their peg.  This change should be replaced the following day.

Outdoor Play

We try and ensure that the children get access to outdoors each day, no matter what the weather is like.  We have been lucky enough to purchase wet suits for outside play and these are in the playgroup.  At times your child may get muddy.  Please bring in the following items and place on your child’s peg:

• Wellie Boots
• Umbrella
• Hat and gloves
• Sun hat
• Sun cream
